What is a board game that you found "just OK" or overrated, but everyone else seems to love?

Just wondering if you guys had any interesting observations or stories to tell regarding games that just didn't sit right for you, even though they are popular.

Scythe I guess. It's pretty highly regarded.
Just didn't click with me from the get-go. The gameplay is bland and I don't find the score mechanics interesting, or the way it combines your engine with the board. Theme doesn't sit well with me either.

I think Flamecraft is overrated. The game felt flat for me. I think the production is great, it has funny name for shops and is really cute but it really is not that much game in it. Could work fine as a gateway game but for me I don't get all the hype.

I have a couple.
- Scythe
- Flamecraft
- Heat - Pedal to the Metal
- Viticulture
I agree on Heat. Can't understand the praise it gets.
Have yet to play Scythe, but I don't think it is a game for me by what I've heard.
Viticulture is good but I have workerplacement games I prefer over it.

Yeah Heat seems very basic. It's a game you can play very occasionally, but doesn't really offer much in terms of strategy or excitement.

Haven't played Flamecraft, but the art/design alone is enough for me to steer clear of it easily lol.

Scythe just really doesn't work for me. Felt like that from the first game, and after 4 games nothing had changed, so I don't see a point in playing it anymore. Combat is uninteresting and the gameplay is exceedingly flat. The tight resource management is done better in many other games. The factions has optimal opening lines and ways that you "should" play, so the flexibility/variety in each game if everyone is reasonably efficient is low.
