New week, new games!

Today it was one of our classics, Merchants & Marauders!
4 player game, ended a bit early as I had to leave for work. But it ended with a tied win, 9-9 between two players. Both had 1 point each from stash, and both had the same amount in their stash! So that's tied. The other two were tied at 4 points (lol). It was a rough day, everything went wrong for me today :p The two winners had good strats and pulled a lot of good rolls and moves when needed, GG! Will get back harder on the next one!

I've played Arkhan Noir (first case) on Tabletop Simulator. I'm trying to understand if it's worth buying.

It's a solo card game. It's fiddly, but it has a nice condensed puzzle to solve.

Tested Vinhos in a two player game. Was fun, really like the mechanics and they way everything is tied together. Mistakes were made obviously, but learned a lot ^^
It wasn't a super great 2 player game, but both of us saw the potential in 3-4 player games, I think that's gonna be awesome!

Forgot to take a picture during the game, but here was one when I was starting the setup.

On Mars (3p) and Valor and Villainy: Lludwik's Labyrinth (3p coop) played last week.

On Mars was hectic, lots going on. First game basically just to teach, others had played it multiple times before. Seems like a very solid strategy game, but has a few things that are unnecessarily quirky. Some plays are required to get more in tune with the game flow, but I'm intrigued to get this on the table soon.

Lludwik's Labyrinth was tons of fun! The successor managed to build upon the good things in the first game and add tons of new content and improvements. More advanced heroes, new spell and feat decks, new map and much more. The build quality and attention to detail was honestly incredible. The card box with its thick dividers and lid, the awesome playmat with both boards (dual sided), insert that fits even with sleeved cards, top notch really.

Coop worked very well, just took some time to get used to the AI system. We played the first Act and managed to win. Then our progress meant we could upgrade our base camp in wait of the next act. I don't want to spoil much, but it looks to be significantly harder from the next act and onwards.. ;)

There are 8 acts, and you can play this as you like. You can play quests mode freely in between or skip the campaign all-together if that's your flow. Together with the Arsenal expansion, you can also play all the new villains and content of the new game as 1vsMany, like the first game. Also it will allow you to play on the first game map (Hawkemoor) as coop vs Mordak.

I had a 3-player game of Lost Ruins of Arnak last week. Fun game, especially with expansion and asymetrical player powers.

And another one yesterday :)

Yeah it's a nice point salad game that combines various mechanics such as deck building, worker placement and resource management.

True dat ;)

That mix works incredibly well, but I think I prefer Dune Imperium (with expansions).

Agreed. Ruins is definitely a decent game, but I'll pick Dune every time instead if free choice. 😊

Got to play three games last week:

3 player Hogwarts Battle with my daughter. Thematic, straight forward deck builder, easy to understand but get progressivly harder as you go a long the campaign.

Got in a two player game of Dead Reckoning. Great pirate 4X game with card crafting. John D. Clair at his finest.

Lastly I got to play a two player game of Valor & Villainy: Lludwik's Labyrinth. It's an RPG dungeon crawler with the right amount goofiness. I have just played one of the first missions, so haven't tried out the boss battle yet.
